Mum I have changed what I want for Christmas…
I cannot believe I am typing this, but today I really feel happy for one of my daughters. K is 4, and is a big Ben 10 fan. Her entire Christmas list is Ben 10 this, Ben 10 that… today just 6 days before Christmas, she would like to be Hanna Montana instead. I wish I was so certain at 4 what I wanted to be when I grew up.

I did feel like saying, I would like you to be Hanna Montana as well, cos then your dad would be Billy Ray Cyrus, but that would be unfair to Kev. Instead I am in Asda buying a Hanna Wig, CD and a microphone with the money that I should be spending on roast dinner.
Why bother? I bother because K has always been the musical one in the family, Big J has the looks, Little J has the brains, and OMG that child has brains, she is a natural engineer, face of an angel and Harry Houdini all in one! So I feel that K needs some encouragement to do what she is good at… she does an amazing rendition of Pinks ‘So What’ and after their earlier Christmas list of iPods, boyfriends and makeup, I felt I should try harder with her. Ok, so I bought them both iPods and make up, the boyfriends… well a mother shouldn’t buy you a boyfriend, it’s just not the done thing!
Now how do I explain to dad that we have Hanna Montana CD for Christmas lunch and not 4 bird roast like he was expecting!

I am not very good at TV.
I have the attention span of a gnat at present, and I hate my sofa. So rather than sit down and watch a film or a TV series, I wait for them to come out on DVD and then I watch them at my own pace when I go to bed.
I have just finished season 4 of 24, and I would not want to work for CTU in any way shape or form, they are always torturing people to get what they want and presidential pardons are handed out like sweeties!
This week I have watched three films, The Hulk with Ed Norton in, Stardust and Transformers.
Transformers was great, a superb action fiolm better than Iron Man, and I really enjoyed that. It stars Shia La Bouf who I had seen in Indiana Jones and was not impressed with! He redeemed himself in this film though.
I wasn’t into Transformers when they came out, and I never watched them on TV. I just knew they were robots in disguise though.
It has a great soundtrack, and one of the Transformers uses his radio and music to communicate – its funny, has great action scenes, good script and well directed. I suggest a night snuggled up with a tin of beer and curry, this is a great night in.
Even better is Stardust.

It’s a magical fairytale based on a Neil Gaiman book, I defy anyone not to laugh whilst reading his superb fantasy stories. It’s crammed packed with famous people,- Michelle Pfeifer, Robert De Niro, Clare Danes (she is even better in this film than Romeo+Juliet) & Peter O’Toole. Has Stars, Princes, witches and Magic… just to name a few. I watched this not knowing what to expect and I was impressed. I loved the Billy Goat when he was turned into a human – the attention to detail is astounding. I think no matter how many times you watch this film, you will see something new every time.
So if you are short of something to watch this Christmas get Stardust and Transformers, kids and adults alike will love them!
