About Sarah Arrow

Sarah Arrow is a 36 year old mum of three beautiful daughters aged 13, 4 and 3. She is married to and works with Kevin Arrow (her childhood sweetheart), for Arrow Light Haulage.

Her previous careers include being a pub landlady, working in recruitment – the welfare to work sector and now as the communications director for Arrow Light Haulage.

She has appalling Grammar. When she was a kid the teachers were on strike quite a lot when it came down to teaching her the difference between a comma and a semi colon; she does not thank her teachers for this.

She currently lives in Essex, and has done for the last ten years. She even went to school in Essex before moving back to East London, where she grew up. Her heart always skips a beat when she sees Canary Wharf in the skyline, she knows she is visiting home, even though she lives in Essex.

Sarah comes from a matriarchal family and the blog will be littered with references to mum, nan and daughters. She would have liked a son, but nature said no, so she will only ever be blessed with girls.

As she lives in Essex, Sarah is determined to embrace the Essex girl mantle but in East london style ;-)

She welcomes your comments.

Hello Sarah: Just read your open letter to Lord Hanningfield and his Bank of Brussels – sorry Essex.

You’ve hit the nail on the head – they will have to do something with the soon-to-be empty Chelmsford ECC offices, won’t they?

How did it come to this, I’d like to know.

Just a stab in the dark – but is one of your Keywords “Essex”? If so, then I gladly add my own Essex contribution to your burgeoning Essex of Essexness.

Nowt wrong with essex, I have an essex girl myself. She was born in the Princess Alexandria, in Harlow, Essex. She is beautiful, blond, and sadly no longer an essex girl – she got a 1st from Manchester. But we call her an essex girl.

    Essexly yours.

Nah, just happen to live here.
If I lived in London I would mention that a lot, but I don’t.

My best selling blog on here is about the kids who won BGT, Diversity.

    Hi Sarah,
Essex County Council are setting up a new website which is all about online engagement with its citizens and we want to feed some blogs onto the site. Can we add your link and do you know of any others bloggers who are talking about life in Essex?

    Thanks,
    Lucy Capron

      Hi Lucy
By all means add a link
Have you got in touch with Keith Brown and David Miles from the FSB? I think David has an Essex related blog too.
Mark Allington has the Colchester Blog which is another good local resource and there is Louise from Essex Mums, she has a blog relating to parenting.

There are more, I just need to recall them :-)
